Hanging On
It can be very difficult in today’s world to hang on. Every day we wake up to news that accentuates the worst side of mankind. Of course, these traits have always been in existence. In the past, respectful behavior, cooperative action, and professionalism were more prevalent than they are today. Incompetence seems to rule right alongside greed and self-serving behavior at present.
For those of us of all ages who seek the harmony that can create a better world, we have to focus on those traits and attitudes that can manifest our desire for a better world, a world that works for the good of all people. Such a world does not support power mongering or discrimination. Instead it encourages diversity, equity, and inclusiveness.

Thanks for sharing. You point out the need for more respectfulness and understanding. I agree—they are always in need. Still, when I review the arc of my life I can’t say there was more of these qualities in my past then in the present. In fact, I experience more of them today but maybe that is just my situation.
