People who criticize fail to understand that voicing frustration isn’t equivalent to taking action. I cared for my

Mom for many years and faced constant criticism from an older sibling who (as you might expect) lived out of state. That is until an aunt (mom’s sister ) quipped “Keep quiet;I don’t see you offering to have her live with you”. Bless you for your kindness and strength.

Thank you. This is why I published my book "The Journey of a Caregiver" which has most of the free verse I wrote during the 12 years of caregiving. I wanted other caregivers to know that you're not alone when it comes to experiencing less than stellar emotions or frustrations. You are human, and you are doing the best you can under very difficult circumstances. Whatever is wrong with your loved one affects you as well. It may be in a different way, but it is still traumatic.

💞 beautiful piece, it's as though some can remove one small piece 🧩 and call it the whole. I'd rather have real, honest & caring through out.
